Movement
Physical activity is the single strongest lever in workplace health management — and one of the few that statutory health insurers directly subsidise.
What is this field of action about?
Lack of movement costs companies a lot – through back complaints, cardiovascular disease and exhaustion. Yet it doesn't take a company gym: even short, regular movement breaks can reduce absence days.
Why does this field of action pay off?
Musculoskeletal disorders are among the most common causes of absence days (DAK-Gesundheit 2025, German figures). Benefits within the workplace health promotion process are tax-free up to €600 per employee per year (§ 3 No. 34 EStG, German law) – gym or sports-club memberships do not count.
