🟠Level 2

Building Up

Tackle the duties: steering committee, documented process, first measures running.

What defines Level 2?

  • βœ“A WHP steering committee or coordinator is named and active
  • βœ“Fields of action analysed and prioritised (e.g. via risk-assessment results + sick-leave analysis)
  • βœ“First regular measures are running (at least 2–3 fields of action)
  • βœ“Sick leave is evaluated quarterly and communicated to management
  • βœ“The BEM process is standardised: invitation template, minutes template, documentation filing
  • βœ“Annual planning for WHP measures is in place

What's still missing at Level 2?

  • β—‹The psychosocial risk assessment has started, but measures and a check of their effect are still missing
  • β—‹The occupational-safety specialist and the company doctor aren't yet firmly involved in WHP planning
  • β—‹Employees don't know the WHP offering well β€” participation rates below 30%
  • β—‹No ROI tracking β€” the impact of WHP stays qualitative
  • β—‹Managers are not yet actively involved in WHP

Next step: level 3 β€” Deepening

At Level 3, WHP becomes measurable: complete the psychosocial risk assessment with measures, make the BEM procedure reliable (German law), set up a metrics dashboard and actively involve managers.

Note: the duties and legal references mentioned here refer to German law.

BGM-Kompass covers German workplace health management (BGM): funding paths, figures and legal references (e.g. Β§ 20b SGB V, Β§ 3 No. 34 EStG, Β§ 167 SGB IX, the statutory-health-insurer prevention guidelines) apply to Germany.
